Huh? My story? Okay. It was never easy for me. I was
born a poor black child. I remember the days sitting on the porch with
my family singing and dancing, down in Mississippi....No, wait...that
was Navin Johnson's story in The
Jerk.
My story actually begins in Atlanta, where I was born and raised with two loving parents and a sister. We're the classic nuclear family, with Dad as the breadwinner and no divorces. Apart from the whole adolesence nonsense that everyone goes through, it was a great childhood--growing up in the Norcross/Tucker area. But really, I guess my life thus far has been dominated by a series of schools: After graduating from Norcross High School ('94), I attended Presbyterian College ('98). And from then, I went on to the Medical College of Georgia, where I graduated in May '02. In June 2005 I completed the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at MCG. I highly recommend all the schools, and would be happy to provide more information if you so desire. contact me Despite the emphasis on schools, I've managed to do a few other things, like mountain bike, scuba dive, play ultimate frisbee, travel, play on computers, and I'm trying to get into rock climbing. Oh, and snowboarding is my new favorite snowsport. So, in order to do these things more often, and also to just change things up a bit, I have moved to Tucson, Arizona. This is my first real forray into the desert and the Southwest, so I've got all kinds of new experiences ahead of me as I start work in 'the real world,' as we called jobs outside of residency/academia. Since I also like keeping in touch with my friends, who have scattered about creation since graduating from those various schools mentioned above, I figured a nice little website about me would be an easy way for them to see what is going on in my life. My goals on this website are more or less the links on the homepage: an online photo album, a way to contact me, a log of web surfing, and various links worth noting. Last but not least, some sort of schedule of what I'm up to, because no one seems to be able to keep it straight. I made a little wishlist at Buy.com. I wasn't sure where to put it on my website, but here's a list of things I'm interested in (mostly DVDs). Of course, you can always go back to my homepage, and learn more about me there.
